This year AN ELDERLY WISH FOUNDATION celebrated 25 years of granting wishes to our Seniors in Contra Costa County. Our annual Heart to Heart Gala, “A SILVER JUBILEE OF WISHES," was held in February at Lone Tree Golf & Event Center. It was an evening filled with fun while raising funds to continue our journey in granting wishes. We are also celebrating the retirement of one of the pioneers of this foundation, Executive Director Mary Chapman. For 25 years she has given her time, talent, and love tirelessly to Elderly Wish, and we honored her with a poem written by Nora von Ubin, flowers, and a getaway to Bodega Bay. Nora von Ubin has stepped in as the new executive director.

Our mission has been simple, yet profoundly meaningful: to grant wishes to seniors living with a serious or chronic illness—bringing joy, comfort, and dignity at a time when they need it most.
